The Wrong Gods is a powerful theatrical production that delves into the intricate dynamics of family, the generational divide, and the timeless tension between tradition and change. Written by acclaimed playwright S. Shakthidharan, the play is set in a serene Indian village nestled on the banks of a sacred river. There, a young girl dares to dream of a life beyond the rigid expectations of her heritage, challenging the beliefs that have shaped her world—and confronting the cost of choosing one’s own path. Kulasegaram Sanchayan talks to playwright S. Shakthidharan about this play and his future ventures.
