Kalaimamani awards are awarded by the Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram for outstanding contribution in the field of art and literature. After the hiatus of 8 years, it was awarded for 2011 - 2018 period recently.
For the first time, Kalaimamani is awarded to a Parai (traditional Tamil Drum) artist.
