Gnani Sankaran (04 Jan 1954 – 15 Jan 2018) Tamil author and social commentator Gnani Sankaran died in Chennai around 12.30 am on Monday. He was 64. Gnani was the editor of a Tamil magazine, Dheemtharikida; and had written several plays, books and for television. He was a regular columnist for various English and Tamil publications. SBS Tamil pays tribute to the multi-facet Gnani Sankaran with comments from Pritham Chakravarty, a long-term friend and co-dramatist at 'Pareeksha' Tamil Theatre group; Chennai based journalist and media entrepreneur, Vincent D'Souza; and A.
