Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathiyar was born on December 11, 1882 in Ettayapuram, Tamil Nadu, India. He was a great poet, writer and philosopher; and was involved in the Indian independence movement. Writer and researcher, Ilasai Manian was born in the same town, Ettayapuram. Kulasegaram Sanchayan talks to Ilasai Manian about Mahakavi Bharathiyar and his work.
