Why dad killed daughter and her husband in ‘evil’ shooting

A Melbourne father who shot and killed his daughter and son-in-law as they celebrated their first wedding anniversary has been sentenced to life in prison. Lindita Musai, 25, was shot dead on her doorstep on December 31, 2019 while her husband Veton, 29, died in hospital the next day. Mrs Musai’s father, 57-year-old Osman Shaptafaj, pleaded guilty to the double murder in 2021. On 22 Feb 2022, Shaptafaj was sentenced in Melbourne’s Supreme Court to a minimum of 35 years behind bars. Renuka presents a special report.
