GOLDEN JUBILEE OF THE BASILIAN SISTERS IN AUSTRALIA

PART 1. The Basilian Sisters came to Australia for missionary work in 1967 at the invitation of Bishop Ivan Prashko ((1914-2001), and the encouragement of Patriarch Joseph Slipyj (1892-1984),. In their 50 years of service the Sisters have visited all our Ukrainian communities around Australia. The 50th Anniversary celebrations began in Sydney on Sunday, February 12 and in Melbourne on February 19.
