11th. International Urdu Conference (عالمی اردو کانفرنس)

First International Urdu Conference (عالمی اردو کانفرنس) was organized by Karachi Arts council in 2008. This year, the conference in its 11th glorious year of Urdu literature, prose and poetry but also including sessions on theater, dance, electronic media, journalism and film. Conference is one of the largest Urdu literary platforms in Pakistan that provide opportunities for youngsters those are designed to celebrate richness of Urdu language (Listen details of International Urdu conference in interview of Ahmed shah of Karachi Arts council).

The conference will be attended by great names of Urdu literature from around the world including India, US, Germany and UK. Different sessions in the conference are held on various topics for interaction and discussion. Participants will be able to hear about classical Urdu literary figures such as Iqbal, Noon Meem Rashid, Faiz, Yousafi. Reading, discussions and views wikk be shared by many famous household names of art and culture including Zia Mohiuddin, Anwar Maqsood, Tina Sani, Syed Noor, Nabeel Qureshi and Qavi.
