After cricket, wrestling and soccer, the sport of hockey has brought some international players to Pakistan in the country's attempt to demonstrate it can provide security for various competitions.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation welcomed seven Australian and four Argentian players who combined with local players to participate in the Nishan-e-Haider Hockey Tournament.
The highlight of the trip is the off-field activities that have seen these players enjoying the local hospitality.
The players visited local markets, ate Pakistani food, put on some traditional clothing, took selfies with their fans, spent some time at the beach riding camels and horses, and took a rickshaw ride, among many other activities.
"I am very impressed with the hospitality here," says John Bruton who plays for a local club in Sydney.

"People are very friendly here, they welcome us and we enjoyed our time with them. We were provided ample security and we all were very well looked after."
The Pakistan Hockey Federation hopes to call more international players in future to strengthen the domestic circuit as well as improve the country's image as a hosting destination for various sporting activities.
