Pakistan is the centre of world cricket’s attention as two of its greatest players – Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan – fade into retirement with a series win against the West Indies.
The backbone of the Pakistan middle order – one, the most successful captain; and other, the highest run scorer – continues to receive tribute from the cricketing world.

Present and former cricketers and analysts, including from neighbouring country India, took to social media to congratulate the Pakistan duo on their respective successful careers.
“Wonderful men, wonderful cricketers, brilliant brilliant captains, brilliant batsmen, brilliant leaders,” said England and Quetta Gladiator batsman Kevin Petersen in a video posted on Twitter.

Misbah accepted captaincy after the infamous spot-fixing scandal in 2010.
He steered Pakistan, often amid barrage of criticism for his playing style, to the top-ranked test team for the first time in the country's history.
Younis also brought honours to the side when he led Pakistan to the T20 World Cup victory in 2009.
He retires as the only Pakistani batsman to score 10,000 runs in test cricket, finishing his career with impressive 34 centuries and 33 half-centuries.

In a social media message, Misbah has thanked his supporters.
“It has been a great honour to captain Pakistan,” he tweeted.
