Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan shared a quote on social media and shared his thoughts, saying “those who discover and get to understand the wisdom of Gibran's words, cited below, get to live a life of contentment.”

But the social media followers responded to the tweet by stating that the ownership of the quote belonged to writer Rabindranath Tagore.

However, others commented on social media that it is not important who said it, but what was said.

Who is Rabindranath Tagore?

Rabindranath Tagore was one of the most famous literary icons in the Indian sub-continent of Bengali heritage.

Tagore was awarded Nobel Prize in Literature "because of his profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful verse, by which, with consummate skill, he has made his poetic thought, expressed in his own English words, a part of the literature of the West," according to Nobel Prize website.

Who is Khalil Gibran?

Khalil Gibran was a novelist, artist, and poet and known for his book, ‘The Prophet.’ He wrote both in English and Arabic.

Gibran is said to be the third best-selling poet of all time, behind Shakespeare and Lao-Tzu.

This is not the first time PM Khan has used quotes.
