What happened in 1983?
Indian Cricket team toured Pakistan in 1983 and played six test matches. Imran Khan (Pakistan's Prime Minister and former cricketer) captained the Pakistan side while Sunil Gavaskar led the Indian squad.
Pakistan won the second, third and fourth test match while the rest were drawn. The visitors lost the series by 3 – 0.
Pakistan also won the One-Day series after the test matches by 3 – 1.
Javed Miandad’s score?
In the 4th test match against India, Pakistani former batsman Javed Miandad scored an unbeaten 280 not out.
The legendary batsman scored the double century with the help of 19 fours and a six.
Pakistan won the test match by an innings and 119 runs.
Javed Miandad is also famous for his last ball six against India in a 1986 one-day match winning the Sharjah Cup tournament.

India and Pakistan cricket
India and Pakistan have not toured each other for more than six years.
The last time Pakistan visited India was in 2012 for a one-day and T20 series while in 2007 toured India for test series. India visited Pakistan in 2007 for test and one-day series.
The last time both sides played against each other was in the ICC Cricket World Cup in England earlier this year. India won the one-day match by 89 runs.
