Independent candidate commits suicide, Election in NA-103 and PP-103 postponed

More than a hundred million people will be voting in Pakistan General Election 2018 on 25 July.

A constituent from Faisalabad, Mirza Muhammad Ahmed Mughal who was contesting elections from both provincial and national seats has died after shooting himself.

He was contesting from NA-103 and PP-103 as independent candidate.

According to local police, Mr Mughal committed suicide apparently on a domestic issue in the family.
There are thirteen candidates in the run for NA – 103 (Tandlianwala) while sixteen candidates are contesting from PP - 103 (Gujranwala – XIII).

Election Commission of Pakistan has postponed the elections in the two constituencies,  and new schedule for polling will be announced soon.
