The Government of Pakistan has decided to establish a Consulate General in Melbourne., which would be formally launched by H.E. Ms Naela Chohan, on 12 August 2017.
The event coincides with the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of Pakistan's Independence and the 70th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Australia.
It is an important occasion to underscore the interest of the Government of Pakistan to further strengthen the relations with Australia and to promote bilateral trade, investment and increased cooperation in education, agriculture and health sectors

Honourable Bruce Atkinson, President of the Legislative Assembly of Victoria has graciously agreed to be the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Consulate General. The Hon'ble Robin Scott MP, Minister for Multicultural Affairs Government of Victoria will be the guest of honour at the ceremony.
