After recording history in an impressive win at the MCG to level the ongoing series against Australia, the Pakistan cricket team has now set gaze on the Perth ODI to be played on Thursday.

The victory has not only boosted the team’s confidence but also sparked excitement among the local fans who had lost hope after Pakistan were whitewashed in the test series.

But Pakistan are cautious and know complacency is dangerous.

“It’s a new day,” said Pakistani player Imad Wasim who has been very clinical with the ball.

“You never know what’s going to happen in the next game.”

Pakistan has had a relatively better record playing in Perth and with former Australian coach Mike Arthur now coaching the Men in Green they have more chances to perform well in the local conditions.

Australia are resting fast bowler Mitchell Starc while Mitchell Marsh is out due to an injury.
