The organisers of the Indian Film Festival and Awards of Australia have decided to leave Pakistani artists out of it after initially terming it the “biggest Pakistani event in Sydney”.
Just days before the show, one of the organisers, Vvikas Paul, termed “current sensitive situation” the reason behind this decision.

"Looking on to current sensitive situation, we have decided not to bring artists from both countries together on one platform,” Mr Paul’s Facebook post read.
Some members of the Indian community with political affiliation had protested participation of Pakistani artists in the festival
“No hard feelings for anybody,” it added.

However, Mr Paul failed to elaborate what he meant by the "sensitive situation."
