Pakistan's first-ever entry into Cannes opens to standing ovation

The movie 'Joyland' is about a family that is conservative and wants male offspring so that their family can move forward but the father-in-law is not happy about the birth of three daughters in a row. This is the first time a Pakistani film is screened in the festival.
