Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan has offered assistance to Keralans in India.
The neighbouring country’s state of around 35 million was hit by a devastating flood and according to local media, more than one sixth of the population has been directly affected.
“On behalf of the people of Pakistan, we send our prayers and best wishes to those who have been devastated by the floods in Kerala, India. We stand ready to provide any humanitarian assistance that may be needed,” Khan tweeted on Thursday.”
Earlier this week, Kerala Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan confirmed the death toll crossing 300 people.
“324 people have died since May 29, and 164 among them are in this month”. he said.
CM Kerala also confirmed that around 315,000 are in government-run refugee camps.
Previously, former star cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi, who is now involved in various humanitarian activities through his foundation, SA Foundation extended prayers and condolences to the families of the affected.

However, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rejected the earlier similar offers made by UAE and Qatar.
The Indian government has announced assistance of 6 billion rupees ($AUS116m), compared with a request from the state for at least 20 billion rupees.
Mr Modi has promised more aid and his government said that would come through "domestic efforts".
The decision to decline foreign help has drawn criticism from the Indian opposition.
