Pakistani politician Khurram Nawaz Gundapur shared a video on Twitter and praised the pilot for avoiding a “great disaster”.

The video available on YouTube (from Grand Theft Auto 5 game) shows a near-collision between an airplane and oil-tanker at the airport tarmac, and is computer-generated.

In his tweet, Mr Gundapur says “Narrow escape of an aircraft which could have ended in a great disaster. Miraculous save by the pilot’s presence of mind.”

However, the social media followers immediately told the politician that it is a video from the game.

A few weeks earlier Pakistani politicians mistakenly wore ‘cat-filters’ during a live press conference that was broadcast via Facebook.

The political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) apologised for the incident and called it a “human error.”

Mr Gandapur is the Secretary General of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) party in Pakistan and is currently the Secretary of Pakistan’ Senate Committee on Defence and Defence Production.

Mr Gundapur later deleted the tweet.
