The Aged Care Royal Commission begins its next round of public hearings at the beginning of May. It's an opportunity for relatives or advocates who say that years of complaints about neglect or abuse of elderly Australians in residential care have been ignored or dismissed. The Fed Govt is providing extra money for support services such as counseling - following complaints that many relatives have been too traumatized to get involved with the process.
