Australia joins Japan, US in move to invest in region

Australia, the United States and Japan have announced a joint effort to back projects across the Indo-Pacific region, focusing on infrastructure, closer connections and economic growth.


It comes as US secretary of state Mike Pompeo has outlined the Trump administration's vision for the region, emphasising cooperation over domination.
