Two teenage swimmers have been rescued in the ocean by a drone in what has been described as a world first. The two teenagers were rescued on Thursday (Jan 18) after a member of the public spotted them caught in a rip current in seas off the Northern New South Wales Coast. The state's Deputy Premier John Barilaro says never before has a drone been fitted with a flotation device to rescue swimmers in this way.
