Australia is to hold meetings with the Philippines next week to decide whether to send special forces troops to help fight IS militants.


Five trial sites across the country have been identified by the federal government for their new Career Transitional Assistance Program, aimed at preparing mature-aged Australians either to re-skill or re-enter the workforce.

The banking regulator says it will conduct a wide-ranging investigation into the culture, governance and accountability of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
