The Federal Opposition says the political future of embattled Labor senator Sam Dastyari has not ended.
The New South Wales senator resigned from his frontbench position wednesday after a week of sustained pressure for taking donations from Chinese-linked companies.
But the Government is refusing to drop the issue, saying Labor has been tainted.
And there will be a renewed push from an independent politician to ban foreign political donations.
