Australia has been condemned by the United Nations for its failure to respond appropriately to U-N humanitarian guidance.


A report by its Human Rights Committee has criticised Australian's human rights record on a range of issues, including its treatment of refugees, Indigenous rights, and a lack of protection of human rights.

It comes a month after Australia elected unopposed to the United Nations' Human Rights Council.
