Laws enacted in the early 1900s made it difficult for Australians not of what was termed "substantial European origin" to enlist for service in World War One.


But that did not stop hundreds of people with diverse heritages from taking their places on the battlefield. 

On Saturday, ((nov 10)) a new memorial will be unveiled, honouring what they did.
