Call for state governments across the nation to introduce congestion charges

State governments have rejected a proposal to charge drivers who enter capital cities during peak hour, as a way to reduce congestion in the CBD. Recommendations from the Grattan Institute say that Australia should follow the example of London and Stockholm, by taxing drivers who use busy roads at peak travel times.
