There has been an angry backlash over South Australia's bid to toughen child-abuse laws in the wake of last year's royal commission into child protection.
Senior lawyers and doctors are among those criticising the bill, saying there is not enough focus on prevention.
And one advocate has sharply criticised a provision for children to choose not to be identified as Aboriginal.
