Many cities in China prohibit Christmas celebrations, schools and universities also have a strong Christmas movement, following orders from the authorities.


Many people wrote on the weibo website against this decision.

President Xi Jinping launched a patriotic movement among the people, one of which was to revitalize the traditional cultural spirit of the Chinese people and to prohibit Christmas the organization of Christmas in the book of annihilation of religions by Chinese Communist Party.
