A top adviser to United States presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says the FBI* is investigating whether Russia was responsible for the hacking of his private emails.
John Podesta also charges Donald Trump's rival campaign team received advance warning of plans to leak thousands of hacked emails by the website WikiLeaks.
Still, with less than a month left before the November 8th presidential elections, the latest polls show Ms Clinton strengthening her lead over the Republican candidate.
