Dissecting the factors keeping new migrants out of regional Australia

Figures from the Department of Home Affairs show only one in eight new migrants to Australia is settling outside Sydney and Melbourne.


And with increasing skill shortages in remote and regional areas, a new study out of Queensland has tried to determine the main factors keeping the migrants in the two major cities.
