European court rules Russia used too much force at Beslan

Families of the victims who died in Russia's Beslan school siege in 2004 have welcomed a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights against Russian authorities.


The court found Russia used disproportionate force to end the siege that resulted in the deaths of 334 hostages.

The Russian government says it will appeal the ruling.
