The federal government is being urged to oppose a presidential ban on migrants and refugees from several Muslim-majority countries entering the United States.
It comes as Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull refused to follow in the footsteps of other world leaders and openly speak out against President Donald Trump's executive order to partially suspend immigration.
