G7 ends with progress on Iran - but little else

Donald Trump says he’s prepared to meet with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in the coming weeks, in an effort to end the stand-off over the country’s nuclear deal.

It was a move engineered by French President Emmanuel Macron… who is urging the leaders to sit down and reach an agreement. 

The diplomatic breakthrough came at the end of the G7 Summit in the French town of Biarritz… in which little progress was made on trade wars… or the battle against extremist content online.
