Haiti pleads for help a week after deadly hurricane

The United Nations is calling for a massive aid operation for Haiti a week after Hurricane Matthew tore through the island nation.


There are fears the country now faces the real threat of famine and a worsening cholera epidemic.



Matthew hurricane followed from the International Space Centre.

Haiti's interim president describes the destruction as apocalyptic after the storm left over a thousand people dead and nearly one-and-a-half million in need of urgent help.
