Hungary voters reject EU migrant plan, but low turnout

Over 98 per cent of those who voted in a referendum in Hungary on whether to uphold mandatory European Union quotas for accepting migrants have rejected them.


However, a low voter turnout could render the result invalid, frustrating Prime Minister Viktor Orban's hopes of a clear victory enabling him to challenge the EU policy.
