Indigenous children make up more than a third of the total out-of-home care population

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children's over-representation in child protection systems continues to escalate at an alarming rate. That's the finding of the this year's Family Matters Report, which is part of a strategy aiming to eliminate their over-representation in out-of-home care by 2040.
