Is it too easy to become an Australian citizen? As part of Citizenship Week, SBS has been taking a closer look at the Federal Government's proposed changes to citizenship laws and how they are viewed around the country.


A Senate inquiry into the Government's proposed changes has attracted around 13,000 submissions.

 

The overwhelming majority of those advise against the changes.

 

But a submission by Australian Monarchist League national chairman Philip Benwell says the League favours restricting citizenship approvals.
