Now, the Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Liveability Index has given Melbourne a perfect score in health care, education and infrastructure.
It marks the fourth time the city's taken top place, and it's joined by Sydney, Adelaide and Perth in the top 10.
Melbourne is Australia's most culturally diverse city, with migrants, or those with migrant parents, accounting for nearly half of all Victorians.
