The secretary-general of NATO says European members must meet their commitments to spend 2 per cent of their Gross Domestic Product on defence by 2024.
The members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation made the pledge in 2014.
But after speaking with United States president-elect Donald Trump amid fears he could withdraw US support, Jens (yens) Stoltenberg says they must live up to that pledge.
And it appears other world leaders are also putting pressure on alliance members to pay up.
