New gun laws for NZ ban semi-automatic weapons and assault rifles

New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, has announced a ban on military-style semi-automatic weapons. Ms Ardern had pledged to tighten the nation's gun laws following the attacks on two Christchurch mosques. She hopes the new laws will come into effect as soon as next month.
