New technology for the Defence Force

Australia's elite soldiers will be better armed and trained to deal with security threats, including terrorism, under a twenty-year, three-billion dollar plan to modernise the special forces. The federal government has approved the first stage of the plan which will see troops equipped with the latest cutting-edge technology.
