This year's 2018 Nobel Peace Prize has been jointly awarded to a Congolese doctor and a Yazidi human rights activist.

Ms Murad is an Iraqi Yazidi [[yuh-ZEE-dee]] who was tortured and raped by I-S militants and later became the face of a campaign to free the Yazidi people.

She is the first Iraqi to win the award.

The 25-year-old is hopeful winning the prize will give a voice to victims of sexual violence in conflict.
