On the 31st of January 2018, at the Independence Hall, the Vietnamese Communist Party held a national ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the " Spring Offensive of 1968".

The Hanoi offensive was a triumph of tactics that set the stage for the US to go down the scale of the war, negotiating at the 1973 Paris Conference.
