Violence is spreading in the suburbs of Paris amid accusations police officers beat and raped a 22 year-old man they'd arrested.
Riot police were sent to the suburb of Aulnay-sous-Bois, where the incident occurred last week.
It's an area where tensions have been simmering since police and youth clashed in 2005, sparking mass riots that prompted a state of emergency.
