Democrat Nancy Pelosi has been sworn in as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives which now has a record number of women and is the most ethnically diverse to date. The 78-year-old says she wants to end the partial government shutdown but will not support President Donald Trump's plan to build a wall on the border with Mexico.
