Religious freedoms lock government into untimely debate

A new poll has shown voters are overwhelmingly opposed to allowing discrimination in religious schools.


Amid growing controversy over special education and employment exemptions granted to them, the Prime Minister has vowed to end their rights to expel gay students. 

There is growing pressure to extend that protection to teachers and staff.
