Remote communities report increase in petrol-sniffing

Vast majority of Australians spent on petrol over the first weekend since coronavirus restrictions on essential travel were relaxed.

There are fears of a resurgence of petrol sniffing in some remote Australian communities.


Incidence rates dropped significantly after the rollout of low aromatic Opal fuel in the mid 2000’s decade but some Indigenous service providers say there have been dozens of new reports of the harmful practice in the past 12 months
