Do My Linh has involved in many community activities, especially supporting refugees and asylum seekers and was awarded Queensland Multicultural Award in 2005.
Experienced many hard time with no relatives in Australia, Linh My Do got married when she was 16 year old. Linh suffered domestic violence so badly that she had to flee from the family and seek for help from the Vietnamese women association in Brisbane. At 19, Linh got divorced with two daughters and regain her life back.
