Petrus Ky is a Vietnamese scholar, whose literary works served as a bridge between his civilization and that of the West.

A group of Vietnamese overseas has conceived the idea of a Petrus Ky monument.

That would be a place of special recognition for the contribution of the Vietnamese scholar, who helped popularise the romanised script of the Vietnamese language, Quoc-ngu.
