Cylist Angelena Roan will be pushing her pedals more than 800km in just five days to raise money for LGBTQI people who feel uncomfortable playing sport. Ms Roan, 20, plans to ride solo from Adelaide to Melbourne in late January in a bid to raise $50,000 to support Stand Up Events — a not-for-profit organisation which tackles homophobic bullying. The Preston physiotherapy student, said the “good wheel hunting” idea was born from the exclusion she saw her sister suffer when she came out as a lesbian. “To eradicate that bullying would be an absolute dream,” she said.
